Le Roi – Roquefort (125g)


Roquefort is traditionally known as the ‘King of French Cheese’ and it is undoubtedly one of the most significant of all blue cheeses.

Le Roi is traditionally made from the finest quality raw ewe’s milk and contains unique blue mould strains cultivated the old fashioned way on wood-fired bread baked in the village of Roquefort-sur-Soulzon during the autumn equinox.

The cheese has been very slowly ripened deep in cool ancient caves of Roquefort for longer than usual and was specially selected by Will because of its exceptionally rich creamy texture strong aromas and lingering sweet-salty finish that epitomises the power and refinement of this benchmark cheese.
